Kate Barone Dimock

By the age of 10, Kate already showed an interest in what she excels at today: putting all the puzzle pieces together. Her early interest in home layouts and pragmatic, practical approach led people in her life to recommend a career in the industry. After interior design school, Kate joined Dekker and uncovered her true calling over the course of her career. She connects dots to get things done, removes stop gaps, and ensures the right people are in the room on every project.

She co-leads our commercial studio, engaging with clients and building long-term partnerships to support communities through beautiful, functional design that improves people’s wellbeing. Kate believes the better she knows people, the better she can provide solutions and anticipate needs. In addition to client and community relationship-building, she fosters an environment for her studio where everyone can be themselves and bring their skills and interests forward.

Kate has served on numerous local boards with community organizations that catalyze economic development opportunities for New Mexicans through commercial real estate. She is also a strong advocate for her team members’ professional development, supporting the firm’s continuing education initiatives. Outside of work, she loves doing just about anything with her kids.
