City of Albuquerque Landscape Architecture

Dekker completed numerous on-call landscape architecture projects for the City of Albuquerque beginning in 2009. Dekker landscape architects and designers worked closely with city staff to scope and estimate each project from design through construction of parks, medians, and wayfinding programs.

As part of landscape services provided, the team prepared design alternatives, led presentations for public input, and created working drawings. Dekker also coordinated playground and irrigation audits, testing, and stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) services as required for each project and facilitated approvals from city design committees and the building department.

The majority of projects were designed per City of Albuquerque standards, had a relatively short turn-around time from design to construction, and were constructed by city or on-call construction crews.
